How to keep your Smartphone safe
If you use your Smartphone throughout a day, then you also
keep your phone safe and up to date. You apply the screen guard and cover on
the phone so that it does not cause any damage. But only does this protect the
phone? No! Let me tell you that it is a physical protection but it is also very
important to give your phone a technical protection too. Because if your phone
is technically safe then your phone's data is also safe. Otherwise it is unsafe
to go it to the wrong hands. Today your phone has all personal information such
as photographs, videos, bank details, private messages, emails and documents
etc. If these things touch someone else's hands, then he can do huge damage. It
is important that you keep your phone safe in every way and we have suggested
the same way 13 ways to keep Android phones and data safe.
The first step to secure phone data is to set up a screen
lock so that no one else can peek into your phone data. Many people give
information to the screen lock, it is also wrong. Better if you keep the
password or the pattern yourself. The choice of screen lock will be found in
security by going to the phone's settings.
If you do not want everyone to see the phone's photograph
and app, then there is also a solution. You can password protect the app. There
are many good apps available on the Google Play Store called App Locker. These
apps allow you to lock many applications, including photo galleries, WhatsApp,
and Hangouts.
The phone has many notifications for the operating system
and the application updates but you ignore them. You may feel overwhelmed by
this kind of ignorance. Because the update also removes security flaws in the apps
with new features from the update so that the application is technically strong
and save your data from viruses and hacks.
Apart from the Google Store in Android phones, apps can also
be downloaded from APK. Apart from this there are also some third party stores
where you can download the app for phones. But you do not know that it is
taking the risk only. Because you can share apps with Bluetooth or USB but
there are a lot of viruses that can cause huge damage to you and your phone.
These viruses also steal data from the phone.
When you download any app from Google Play, you are asked
for a permit. You think it's okay to fix it but do not see what kind of
permission it is taking with you. Many applications allow your contact,
message, mail and SMS.
Do you know that you can remotely delete your phone's data?
Yes, even if you do not have a phone in hand, you can still delete your phone
data completely. If the phone has been stolen, then this feature is very
useful. This can save the data from moving into the other or bad hand. For
this, you have to use the Android Device Manager in your phone. This option
will be found in the Device administrator by going to Settings in the phone.
You have to tick in Android Device Manager. After this, if your phone is lost
then you can delete all the data on your phone by opening the Android Device
Manager from any PC or other phone.
How many times have you ever shared your bank account
number, Aadhaar number, ATM PIN and password on a message, WhatsApp, or Chat.
It must have been done once or twice. But you do not know how much you risk by
doing this. Because there are many apps and companies, then read all your
details. So do not ever share your personal information with the phone.
To use free internet we often use public Wi-Fi but do not
know how dangerous it is to use this kind of Wi-Fi. The most dangerous part of the public
Wi-Fi is that It allows lots of viruses to come into our phone. These viruses
work to steal data from our phone.
Even if you have kept the phone protected by a PIN and
password, try this one, always do backup your phone's data. You can back up
phone data on the cloud, desktop or external harddrive. Data will be saved even
if virus damage your data on your phone.
Always keep in mind that during phone use do not click on
any unknown link. These links are viruses. You are shown a lot of greed and you
get stuck by clicking on that link.
You can use encryption to keep data completely safe in your
Android phone. The choice of encryption will be found in the settings of the
phone within the security. It also will not be able to read if your phone data
stolen. Remember that encryption is beneficial only if you keep your phone
protected with a PIN or password.
You can use a good company's antivirus to keep data safe in
your Android phone. Such as Norton, AVG and Kaspersky etc.
